Modern Prophecy 1 - Glimpses into the Beyond

The Lord is coming back soon, no person knows the day or year, so we should live our lives as though he will arrive today. Anyone caught off guard when the rapture occurs, living in breach of the Covenant, will suddenly realize nothing is more important than drawing close to Jesus, because ramifications of disobedience will suddenly be realized.

Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branches bud and its leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is near. In the same way, when you see all these things, you can know his return is very near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene until all these things take place.”

Matt 24:32-34 NLT

If someone, who has invited Jesus into their heart as Savior and Lord, is intending to draw close to him, but is delaying, thinking there is plenty of time, they are putting their eternal fate at risk. If death approaches unexpectedly, or the Lord returns while living an estranged lifestyle, there is great risk of missing the rapture.

No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.

Luke 16:13 NLT

This is what is meant in the parable about the bridesmaids in Matthew 25. Those, who ran out of lamp oil, portray people who don’t have a close relationship with our Lord, and in turn, face the same fate as worldly people. Those, who had enough lamp oil, portray people who are in fellowship with Jesus, he is their Lord, Shepherd, and friend. Having sufficient lamp oil is an indication of being included in the rapture.

Later, when the other five bridesmaids returned, they stood outside, calling, ‘Lord! Lord! Open the door for us!’ “But he called back, ‘Believe me, I don’t know you!’”

Matt 25:11-12 NLT

Our Father doesn't want his children to be caught off guard, so he has been revealing more information about heaven and hell through modern prophecy, whereas individuals are taken on journeys in to the beyond. Sometimes Jesus is the escort, other times an angel is assigned the task. These journeys into the beyond are joyful, or not, depending on if they visit heaven or hell.

Heaven is filled with beauty and wonders, when visiting this joy filled place, they don’t want to come back. It is more awesome than words can express, more wonderful than imagination can draw.

Hell it’s just the opposite, it’s filled with unimaginable horrors, and has a very strong relentless stench throughout. These God chosen modern prophets are always vastly unprepared for what they see in the abode of the spiritually dead, it’s a very shocking experience.

People, who are chosen for these journeys, carry the responsibility of telling the rest of us what they witness. If they fail to make their story known, they face penalty, so they will generally write a book or make a video.

“‘In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants—men and women alike— and they will prophesy. And I will cause wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below— blood and fire and clouds of smoke.

Acts 2:17-19 NLT

Modern technology allows information to travel around the world quickly. Someone can upload a video to YouTube, instantly making it accessible worldwide. There are a variety of methods allowing them to reach around the globe with their testimony.

There has been much revealed about hell, it's a place of eternal condemnation. Demons are under the command of Satan, they torture people with extreme pain. God allows us to choose for ourselves whether to prefer good or evil, to walk with him or the world, to rely on our own wisdom and strength or learn to partner with him. In this way, he allows us to choose our own eternal fate.

There has also been much revealed about heaven, it’s filled with God’s glory and love, a very wonderful place, just being there fills a person with joy. When prophets visit heaven they are awe struck by the magnificence and beauty. They carry a great responsibility with these excursions into the beyond, God wants his sleeping children to wake up, and through these modern prophets, he is giving us a peek into eternity.
